The Story
The cut that didn't move on.
The Vicomte is the charcoal pinstripe of the men's line. A heavyweight Italian wool, double-breasted with a six-on-two button stance, half-canvas and soft on the shoulder. The jacket is cut with a wide, rounded peak lapel — softer than a traditional peak, sharper than a shawl collar.
The cut belongs to the European old guard — the men who wintered on the coast a century ago, who kept this line after the rest of menswear let it go. We named it for them, not as nostalgia, but because the cut deserved a serious word.
The lower button is left unfastened in the English manner. Three fittings. Buttonholes are sewn by hand. The trouser waistband is hand-built — cut wider than standard, in the same cloth as the trouser interfacing.
It is a suit with a long line, kept long.
