Régate Suit

The Régate is the linen suit of the line. A pure Italian linen, soft shoulder, half-canvas. Cut wide enough to wear over a polo shirt, narrow enough for a tie when the day asks for one.

We named it for the regattas of the coast — Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Antibes — and for the man at the post-race lunch with his jacket creased the way linen ought to crease. The suit is built to do that.

Open patch pockets, soft shoulder, no shoulder pad. Three fittings. Buttonholes are sewn by hand. The trouser waistband is hand-built — cut wider than standard, in the same cloth as the trouser interfacing. The cloth is unlined through the back of the jacket so the linen breathes.

It is the suit for the daytime ceremony and the long lunch after.
