The Story
Dark grey, not black.
The Opéra is the dark grey tuxedo of the line. A fine Italian wool, single-button peak lapel, all in self-cloth.
We named it for the Garnier in Monte-Carlo. Under the chandeliers, dark grey holds its character — quieter than black, easier than navy, the colour of a man who is at the opera often enough to know what suits the room.
The single front button is the same cloth. The trouser is plain — no braid down the outseam. Buttonholes are sewn by hand. The trouser waistband is hand-built — cut wider than standard, in the same cloth as the trouser interfacing.
It is meant for the dinner that runs late.
