The Story

Black tie, kept easy.

The Cannes is the black shawl-collar of the line. Loro Piana wool, single-button. The collar is cut high and rolls cleanly to the button. Matching black formal trousers, flat-front with a sharp pressed crease and a straight full-length leg — relaxed but controlled, the trouser falls naturally from the waist.

It is named for the long evenings on the Croisette — black tie that does not lose its temper in the Mediterranean heat. The Loro Piana cloth keeps a clean line from the first drink to the last.

Half-canvas, soft-shouldered. Three fittings. Buttonholes are sewn by hand. The trouser waistband is hand-built — cut wider than standard, in the same cloth as the trouser interfacing.

It is meant for the warm hour after the ceremony.
