The Story
Black at rest. Silver in motion.
The Aurore is the silver-thread tuxedo of the line. The cloth is a fine Italian wool, woven through with a thin metal yarn — black at rest, silver at angle.
Aurore means dawn. We named it for the first hour over the Mediterranean, when the night is not quite gone and the light has not yet decided. The cloth holds that hour: it does not announce itself, but it catches what light there is.
Three fittings. Buttonholes are sewn by hand. The trouser waistband is hand-built — cut wider than standard, in the same cloth as the trouser interfacing.
It is the tuxedo for the long table, lit by candles.
